o Contributing to Dr. David Wallace’s ACCESS MAPS project at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian (UPMC Presby), which is working on trying to develop and maintain a publically available online service that provides up-to-date care infrastructure information and real-time analytics.
• Looking into what ESRI is doing in the healthcare space

Contributing team member in a major research project, “Design, Fabrication, and In vitro Evaluation of Biomimetric Coating for Biodegrable Magnesium Implants
• Prepared magnesium strips for experimentation.
• Checked pH of various chemicals
• Used pipette to add solution into the samples to test the degradation process of various magnesium phosphate samples
• Observed samples under the SEM (standard electron microscope)
• Used the sonicator to help dissolve the different concentrations of magnesium

Assistant/Intern, LA BIOMED (Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute) Summer 2013
• Worked closely with a doctor in cardiac imaging to help with data analysis from various heart scans

PROJECTS
Nullspace VR, Commercializing New Technologies August 2015 – December 2015
Working with Nullspace VR at the University of Rochester, New York to develop a commercialization strategy by identifying two viable and attractive markets for their technology and look at their advantage in each market, size the market available to the client and evaluate the competition, and assess entry and adoption barriers. Also helping by looking at customer discovery and validation, market sizing, competitive analysis and business model development and vetting for Nullspace VR.

ViRhably, Clinical Bioengineering and Prototyping January 2015 – December 2015
Working to address the identified deficiencies in how biofeedback is currently presented to patients, we propose integrating a training system with a visualization rig that would enclose the patient’s entire field of view.

Magneto, Medical Product Development January 2015 – April 2015
Collaborating with a group of students and PhD in the Dental School at the University of Pittsburgh to help them get their medical product (biodegradable dental barrier membrane) FDA approved and then marketed.

Blinking Lights Game, Computer Science November 2014 – December 2014
Game was created in labview where my group and I got an Arduino to talk to the labview code, which ran the game. The game was essentially a guessing in which the person had to pick the set or number of light which they thought would turn on.
